Werebeasts Warriors.

Were beast are a race limited to Rangers and Berserkers.

Which I find strange. Such a lovely race, could have one more Class. I think of Warriors.

What you think?

ninja-

Oh yeah, I bet a werebeast ninja would be pretty cool. {not}

Personally I always thought that werebeast zerkers were useless and my reason behind it is this.

When raged you lose the ability of dodge.

When transformed, all you can do is dodge.

So a transformed zerker gets 0 defense.

I like the idea of a warrior.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure there is a special circumstance for Werebeast Zerkers whereby they keep dodge (or some defence) whilst raged/transformed.

I am all for werebeast warriors, IF grand master Z will implement a new warrior lore for Hand to Hand. Something that maybe helps the hinderence of dodge only in wereform. A limited form of first parry if you will.

The only trouble I see, is that we will have a warrior getting a ghastly number of attacks per round. Which in the case of the wolf would be nasty.

Edit. Something in the hand to hand lore would have to aid in the mitigation of ranged weapon damage as well. I.E. Arrow catching/deflection.

Look at some of the warrior logs. Some warriors already hit some crazy amount of times in a round and pretty hard too. Werebeast warrior wouldnt be too much different other than they are completely unable to be disarmed and in terms of the wolf it would just make the warrior able to switch between mundane and magical strikes without switchin weapons. All you would need to do is find some high hit/dam weapons before you transform.

Need to make werebeasts good aligned again.

Werebeast warrior would be insanely powerful. The sheer number of high damage attacks (read the kadrinath vs desaram log, thats alot of damage through sanc) would be insane. Couple that with some of the werebeasts existing powers, and you could have a very very very nasty nasty warrior.

Also on the topic of werebeast zerks. Werebeast zerks are an oddity. You DO retain dodge, meaning your now the most defensive while being the most offensive. Downsides are gonna be bodyslams wont be AS effective (there are varying factors for each subrace for beast that contribute to this) The hand to hand thing really isnt a factor judging from the beasts I have seen. No roar for devastation (I would think this is balancing to keep their defenses minimal as the race was designed) cleave is useless, not too sure about headbutt. But a zerks main trouble is they rely heavily on weapon selection, losing that selection can be greatly detrimental. Although I really think a good zerk player needs to do a specific sub race as a zerk.

Two words:

I WISH!!!

I agree. if they implemented werebeast wars, I would be the first person rolling one.

werebeast...monk...

now we're cooking with gasoline

thats not cooking with gas. Thats cooking with subatomic fission.

Thats cooking with subatomic fission.

Education fail.

subatomic fission is generated by a quark bomb. Quark bombs being a de-terraforming bomb. Basically causes a ripple of unstable "quark" energy across every atom on, and in the planet, causing it to com apart at a sub-atomic level. The bomb itself had no actual defense, hence the galactic treaty drafted to prohibit it's use. Hence the term Subatomic fission. Had I wanted to refer to a 60 year old bomb, I would have said nucular.

Nerd fail.

I love it.

I built one for my 6th grade science project....then the aliens stole it.

Werebeast monk would make it easy to establish a werebeast nation.

Planet of the apes style.

"Damn you. You damn dirty werebeast monks."
