How about an RP bulletin board.

Whats this?

It works like shoutouts. You can post an RP note about an event your character has or maybe even a biography of them if you wish. When posted, it has to be in full RP style, submitted anonymously and approved by an immortal. The immortal would lock the thread immediately so that it could not be replied to.

This is not to be anything like the RP log section which is simply... RP logs. Your bard is throwing a concert on tuesday at 7? Include the date in the title, let the post be the flyer.

I think this would be a great idea! You are right, no one reads notes in game...I'm too worried about getting pk-ed to sit there and stare at the screen.

I have more time to read through things when I'm on the forum, and I think this would also give us a chance to have more 'events' if not just because then we could plan.

I read all in game notes, but I do it in a safe place, definitely not the commons lol. though, I do find this idea extremely interesting, and RP-inspiring. The only issue I could see is people taking information from the forum and applying to their character prematurely.

I read them too. However, there are a ton of oldies and newbies alike that browse the forum. Having a direct event tap on the forums from the game might pull a lot more of them in to play. Also, it will keep people informed as to cool in game events they may not have seen because they haven't logged in or happened to miss it in the notes.

This would do more good than harm. I love the idea.

Grim for the win- sounds epic to me- and could bring about more RP events and what not.

Just wanted to give a bump up on this and perhaps add a simpler fix in the interim.

You could just use the shout-out section for this since it gets moderated before showing anyways. Put your note up there and then the imm that posts it could just sticky it up to the top? Would lessen the hassle since the shout-out forum seems to be kept up amazingly, and people check that one anyways. Would be good until the Imms decide if it will work in the long term and create a new section.

yeah i think so too- due to the fact the Rp seems to becoming more and more available recently, and it would give people a little heads up (player knowledge) to give them the right direction to proceed about finding out IC.
