would be neat if there was a chance at a negative side affect. Something similar to "veil of darkness", as the junkie loses himself to the demons of his own imagination.

some herbs in game do have bad effects, calm yourself, poison, etc. Also the whole withdrawal thing, thats another reason why I don't have a problem with poisioning oneself to avoid strangle/blackjack/sleep. The whole arguement of 'why do something detrimental to yourself for a short term benefit applies to herbs, all of them, sanc, detect invis, armor, stone skin. Short term benefits (although longer then a herbal brew) at the price of harming oneself.
