This should hurt them, in some nasssty way....
Your Axe makes a satisfying chomp as it bites into so-and-so's arm!!
You manage to destroy so-and-so's FIST!!!
just a thought while training..

yeah, or could do the effect when shatter breaks the arms...somethin similar.
Lol, and perhaps should get them rid of kickbock a, aye jibber? ![]()
Why would getting your arm broken not allow you to kick? That's what I wanna know.
crazy foxx logic!

Not sure if you're just being a smart *** or serious
In seriousness, I personally -was- being serious. Broken hands.. no more advanced martial arts. I mean, you could still hit your opponent with basic martial arts, but doing the more advanced stuff would hurt more, right?
Your backfist wounds berserker
your backfist wounds berserker
your whirlwind kick injures berserker
your jab wounds berserker
A berserker's axe makes a staisfying chomp as it digs into your fist!
A berserker has busted your knuckles with his weapon cleave!
Your jab wounds a berserker
your bleeding knuckles graze you
Your backfist wounds a berserker
your bleeding knuckles graze you
Your backfist wounds a berserker
your bleeding knuckles graze you
And perhaps reduce its effectiveness by 50%? Not so much on getting hurt every time you use them, though, perhaps a bleeding effect that lasts a few hours would be sufficient.
Does any of you consider the balance issues this can give? K's suggestion is just rediculous. One of the biggest advantages to monks is that they don't use weapons, i.e. they cannot be disarmed/weapon cleaved. Why do you need to make a skill that is used against opponents with weapons effective against someone who deosn't use weapons?
Because you oppose the idea and I hate you?
Sounds good make it work on Clerics too.

Now you really hurt my feelings ![]()

Man up. <3
oh, oh! and maybe next.. monks will injure themself too everytime they punch somebody wearing metal...![]()
dont mean to sound like an *** with that.. but cmon.
You know...realistically you could break a hand ala Faber vs Mike Brown 2, but its called weapon cleave...not offensive object cleave. Technically a monk's weapon is the monk...so...should you just cleave them in half aka the old DK auto-kill cleave? It is thoughtful, but I feel like we've had this debate before and it obviously didn't fly.
no. the idea is, no offense to anyone, completely retarded. lets not destroy a good class by making it completely ineffective. i would classify this idea with the one about how disarming a monk should literally rip their arm off. serious idea or not, that is the level at which breaking hands stands.

No offense taken
I suppose you could leave out the retarded part to your this idea sucks reply.
It's an idea, something good for Berserkers, maybe not so good for Monks..
And your retarded, no offense to anyone:D

you cant have one without the other. yes this is obviously supposed to be for zerkers. but what might sound great for berserkers might not have such great effects once put into place.by the logic of this idea, the wild-swinging berserker is going to instantly know martial arts og the monks proficiency level enough to predict the movement of the monk's hands and be able to hit them with blinding speed and accuracy as to shatter their knuckles.
call me retarded all you want, but last i checked. zerks weren't the studious type, as to not only devote themselves to the arts of the body, let alone have the immense mental discipline to focus and predict the enemie's movements.
breaking somebody's knuckles with a weapon, especially those highly trained in martial arts, would be an incredible feat indeed. especially when said person uses their fists to parry. not exactly throwing them a curveball.
im all for making zerks stronger. but im willing to bet that there are other ways than to cripple a specific class against them.
