Cool idea for you Immortals

So I am not sure how it works, but after listening to the Podcast where Zoichan was the guest "DOPE".  I overheard something like when I bring on my mort and know there are more immortals then morts it can get frustrating.  (not an exact quote, but something along those lines.)

Now what if it could be coded where Immortals can just come from the sky and have like their own Race/Class on standby.  So they don't have to quit wait come on with there mort and then possibly miss some interactions that could have been better served as a mortal then an immortal.

-You see a newbie struggling up there from you perch.   Bang pop down.  Now your a Human Ranger.  No immortal skills and you must wait like 20 min before you can use the command to go back into the sky.  You try to interact with the newb.  Help them out some whatever.

-Knight is being dominated by some Nexus.  Bang Dwarf/Cleric comes down to help.

I don't know I think this might be pretty neat.

Omg the whining this would create (rightly so). Nah, not a good idea. The 15 minute rule is there to avoid using knowledge of who is on for the mortal.

See, I'm of the opinion that IMMs should get small mortal perks for their time as an IMM. 

Nothing game breaking, but faster leveling or training for their time split as an IMM and still trying to play the game they enjoy. RHIP.

You're not even of the opinion an Imm should be allowed to play a mort in peace without anyone bugging him about the char ;)

I can not speak for everyone else, but I know @Anume and I enjoy the journey too much to desire teleportation and enjoy the competition too much to desire an advantage over others.

Well you obviously wouldn't abuse it.  I'd like hope 🙏 immortals wouldn't abuse the power.

Helping a newb get some eq.  Maybe showing them some stuff along the way.  Can't do this if u just suck them up to you.

I dont think any of you actually know how closely the imms self police. Its not actually possible.

I've never failed to help a newbie (or any of you struggling vets) with something before. In fact its easier to help someone as an immortal than a mortal.

Just say me dude.  We both know thats directed at me.  LOL

Honestly there are a lot of morts that do this.  The problem is, regardless of how much you think you are helping, you shouldn't deck out newbs. You shouldn't have adeptus eq unless you can run away while blind. You shouldn't have best in slot eq until you know the underdark. That sounds harsh, and to a degree it is. The truth of it is decking out newbies is just getting eq for the vet who pummels them. That is all you accomplish. We all die, and when the newbie dies they still don't know how to efficiently equip after losing their gear because they got drug all over and don't remember any of it. SHOW a newbie how to reequip, show them the basics and let them learn to tread water like that. Let them slowly piece up a suit while learning the game front to back. Taking a few hours to deck a newbie is only going to save someone else a few hours in gathering eq because it's all in one place. You then have a frustrated newbie, who didn't learn anything.

As far as directing the struggling vets, it's definitely not directed at anyone. Everyone who has played a monster character has played many more absolute weaklings that they deleted and didn't bother making a deletion thread about. Ulmusdorn just means everyone who struggles, and we all struggle from time to time

Is it just me... or as of late every time you jump on a comment Tarako, there is a dash of salt.

It's definitely just you. I don't really know what about me saying don't make newbs easy eq farms is salty.

I completely agree with this. 

If you want to wear the best stuff, be prepared to die until you lose it all. The people who have the best EQ have to work hard to keep it.
