If you've already wrapped your head around the idea, then I applaud you. If you haven't, then not posting on this thread doesn't change the fact that you need to. I appreciate your undoubtedly well-intentioned concern regarding the focus of my energies. I focus on precisely what I am capable of focusing on, and if I knew html, the website would be one of the things I would be focusing on. As it is not, paying for the hosting of this game, moderating the forum and brainstorming some upcoming in-game changes are what I am focusing on.
I don't think you are 'keeping the playerbase down', because, amongst other things, quite a few of you aren't even regularly playing the game from what I can tell. To elaborate on my post, my issue is with a commonplace attitude that often indicates a devotion to keeping certain aspects of the game a certain way, not because it is good for the game or good for the growth of the MUD, but for one's self. I find such attitudes distressing, and the fact that the attitudes have the 'weight' of some of the longer-playing and well-respected members of the pbase behind them to be even more distressing.
