I suggest the cost of all cabal EQ be cut in half

Being in a cabal you are living a very volitile and violent life, the intake of CP is not enough to allow members to utilize the eq in any reasonable fashion since it takes WAY longer to generate the income than it does to lose the equipment from saccing.

My other suggestion is to make Cabal EQ bind on buy or non saccable.

IT takes nearly 10,000 cp with the current setup to get all the cabal eq, though I dont think suiting out should be a neccesity the purpose of the eq to help weaker / underdog (perhaps?) cabals is completly circumvented by the insane cost. Not counting the larger quest bonuses available from one time quests it takes an insane amount of time to earn the points just to have them sacced.

I like the bind on buy suggestion a lot.

I say cut it in less than half.

These days you lose a fight and you lose all your equipment. And when you win a fight you cannot even buy one of these.

It is a lot better to gain Equipment from cabal enemies than using your own cabal shops.

I think the Cabal armory has the wrong approach. IT should not be about making elite equipment for the Elite but about decent requipment for the Cabaled who just took a full death.

I fully agree with this. EQ that is less powerful and much cheaper to buy. Not so weak that it's not worthwhile buying, but definitely not elite EQ like some pieces are now.

Just my opinion anyway.

Cabal equip should be a set that gets you back on your feet quickly, - like with so many things (IMO) there are already a lot of ways for characters to MAX OUT!!! UBER1!!1 Their characters, which just leads to overpowered individuals.

Making it easier for everybody to get to a certain level, rather than creating more elite options for the few who are already miles ahead is a GOOD things imo.

Have it so that a cabal equip set is like 200 CPs but gives you a few options - one for HP/Mana with basic saves, one with Hit/Dam and basic saves, and one for just saves, with slightly higher levels than the others.

Cabal equipment is not overpowered, at least not the pieces that I identified. For example, there's a titanium fullplate that costs 1,500. Sure, some of the pieces are better than the average rares/uniques, but I don't think there's any that's better than Gear/Discord/Desolation/Winter stuff. The most useful part of them is providing certain spells/affects that your class usually does not have access to.

Yes, please reduce the cost and make full suits of fast re-equipment. 40/40 hit/dam with 20 vs spells in total, or + 200 hp/mana and 30 vs spells. Something like that.

Or three options.

Low, medium and high quality, at 500, 1000 and 2,000 CP's. Nonrare (30 hit/dam), rare (40 hit/dam), and slightly above rare (50 hit/dam).

What about having both? Ultra crunk cabal EQ that binds and is more expensive than it is now, and cheap cabal EQ that isn't that amazing.

If you've got the mega shkrills, buy the s00p0r. If you just got annihilated, drop CPs and get the cheap full set.

Looking at the replies the bind on buy solution seems best in my opinion now.

Honestly, its still something to work towards, but your not throwing CP away into items that are disposable.

I would actually say give the cost a 25% BOOST and make them bind on buy, since if its bound to you it cant be lost you will be obtaining average / better than average permanent gear. Making it something to work towards.

The functionality of some of the gear would then become, in similar fashion, an influence on pkill similar to tht of the cabal powers, just in a mor eminor fashion. Its just that you would earn these "bonuses and powers" by saving / investing cp rather than time spent and rank gained.

in 1.0 the cabals re-equipped you upon death (like the noob 'outfit', but automatically). they weren't powerful, but were decent enough to aid you while you went looking for better (or sometimes even your killer which is better).

MHO, re-instate this auto-regear option, and double the cost of existing pieces. it's helps you after-death, and you can still buy uber stuff if you wish to.

I might be remembering wrong, but weren't the old 1.0 sets basically 8 pieces of mithril? It would be nice if you could actually go into battle with the default gear and nothing else, or at least everything except bracers and rings. All level 30ish stuff.

all you need is a light, head piece, torso, legs, bracers and a weapon. if you can't reEQ at 50 in these, you should have stayed at 30. you really shouldn't get a full set, but the above pieces would get you started. and yes, you CAN kill a hurt opponent in these pieces. even a decked one.

each cabal would have a certain thing these pieces would aid. Savant +HP, WM +hit, Nexus +dam, Knight -AC, Syndicate +dex, Herald +suckage and Tribunal +gayness.

Why do you need the equipment to bind to the owner if you can get life insurance?

Good point. If bind to owner and re-equip is given, take away life insurance.
