I don't think you pinned him off doing guild quests as the guild quests didn't start giving out exp until after I pinned Chomba and even then it was a while after, around August was when that change took place. So you must've played another Healer or something since the change.
As for getting from one end of Aabahran to the other, it depends on what you consider one end to the other. Possible to get from Haon Dor to Miruvhor in under a minute? Yeah, possible, can even do it in under a tick if you get the Gates right. Otherwise what I consider one end to the other (usually a diagnal slice since you'll hit the most areas that way if you're searching for someone), you'll be lucky to do that unless you're connecting directly to the game itself, otherwise I'd say 3 minutes would be a good base off of that, especially since about the only people faster than me that I know would be Balinor and even then we only tried like once or twice. Despiser was pretty fast but still couldn't catch me, the only difference was he knew where you were going a lot of the time and I would run out of moves far before he ever did because of some stupid mistake I made like lacking a sufficient time on mount/flight.
Clan / Guild Quests
'Ironically I've gained more exp from trying to complete the last three quests I was given then actually finishing them. I was sent to Marak 3 times as a ranger with natural enemy ogre. lol. That was fun.
Chuckle... With a halfling ranger I beat two hours to pinnacle from 30.
If each quest takes seven minutes, to get the last twenty ranks will take you just over three hours...
If each quest takes seven minutes, it will take SIX hours to get to 50, not less than TWO.
Just on a random note.. How the hell did we end up arguing over this and not the clan/guild quest problem?

I have now pinned 2 charcters using the quests, going from 30 - 50. Two hours is an insane overestimate.
Now you can polish off approx 5 levels in two hours from my experience, so in 8 hours of straight questing you will be pinning.
There is no-way, however, to consistently complete the quests in the times that Aulian is proposing.

Then by my calculations you never Pinned Ecasio by the Guild Quests. I pinned Chomba back in June like 2 weeks after I made him by ranking and doing guild quests as well as clan quests never gave EXP at that time. However in August when the change was made I was able to get exp from both guild and clan quests. Yeah, Ecasio was Knight long before Chomba which means if I couldn't use clan/guild quests to pinn him and had to rank the old fashioned way Ecasio wouldn't be able pinn any other way than the old fashioned way unless you were to use the few quests at the time to rank to pinn if you saved them. So by that logic I just whooped you on yours, because it wasn't until like 3 characters ago I was able to rank off guild quests which was well after Chomba and well before my current.
The change to quests was made February 25th, according to the Change Log.
That's odd considering I never got the exp while doing them.

I know you're not taking sides, but some of the things from in that log state they were implemented well before they actually were put in as far as the main port and some just don't give a specific time frame. I'm pretty positive it wasn't put in until after my second character (Chomba) and before my current.
In fact, I could be wrong on this, I'm not 100%, but I'm still pretty certain it wasn't there when I first came back which was April. I think it came around the time that Ogres were toned down with their healing.
