Chayesh's bless

Pfft.

You yell, 'Chayesh, bless me with your power.'
Chayesh appears in a swirling mist.
Chayesh says seductively, "Alright baby, but it's going to cost you."
Chayesh begins to unbutton his sequined vest to the tune of some imaginary beat.
You yell, 'Help, Chayesh tried to touch me!'
Chayesh's life drain decimates you!
You have been paralyzed!
You have been afflicted by an onslaught of venereal diseases.
Your genital herpes scratches you.
Affect:
Spell: AIDS: for 900 hours
Spell: The Clap: permanently
Spell: Genital Herpes: permanently
: for 72 hours
Spell: Warcry: affects hitroll by -1 for 20 hours
: affects damroll by -1 for 20 hours

Did anyone besides me find this very very very funny?

Everytime I see an atheist warcry I think Creator = Mother.

The atheist warcries, "Mother, I bring forth your fury!"

You know, I just can't see some badass ogre berserker yelling to his mother before a fight. Well, I can, but it's funny, not badass.

... I think athiest warriors should go Schwartzenegger:

" I'm going to pump you up."

Get To Tha Choppa!

Who is your daddy and what does he do?

Chayesh's blessing has saved my *** many a time, and I'm not talking mimes here

i already know what the blessing does for certain class under a certain situation, but for the average joe following Chayesh, why not throw in a save vs. spell too, eh? everyone else's blessing, or nearly everyone elses, does that.

So you want the saving spell of other blesses and still have the perks of folowing Chayesh leader of the undeads wannabees.

I want to be and Avatar but i want the Faiths blessing bonus insted of the inadequacy of Purity bless.

So both of us are asking a code change so that our specific characters can be more powerfull, insted of having to scrificing a bit for something.

Finally! A post by Mya that I can read, understand, AND agree with!

I love you!!

okay i'm saying that if you dont want to be certain mortal classes and do a certain thing, or be an undead, but for RP you still want to follow Chayesh religion, and you are a bless casting class, or even not a bless/warcry class, why not just put in the save spell.

put it in the purity bless too. doesnt purity bless only give you a hp increase?

and yeah while not getting the standard save vs. spell is a crappy reason to not pick a certain religion/deity, i'll bet it motivates some players to choose a bless that does give you -8 (at 50 or whatever the true number is) save vs. spell over the bless that doesn't.

Fighting a shaman, I'd rather have the mal than the spell saves. Fighting anyone else, I'd rather have the spell.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could've swore that saves to spells stacked on saves you currently have. IE:

Saves to Spell = 13

Saves to Afflic = 34

Saves to Mals = 40

Saves to Ment = 20

would basically mean you have 53 saves to mals now, 47 to affliction and 33 to mental?

You're correct.

Then why would you want the mal saves more then the spell saves? It would be equally as good I'd think, and even kind of better since you're able to save yourself from being dispelled as well.

Help deteriorate.

Have to be a Shaman to access those help files now.

On a side note, I haven't had a real problem with Shamans in forever. Last Character I had problems with them on was my WM way back in 2.0. Since then I haven't really fought them and when I have my saves were usually -70 or so.

DETERIORATE

Syntax: commune 'deteriorate'

The defense of the target is lowered by the deterioration of their

armor and resistance. The target's armor class will be less effective

and they will be more susceptible to spells. **This spell's chance to **

** affect its victim is directly related to the target's save versus spell**

** and malediction statistics.**

Okay, so it doesn't do it at the login help files but it will if you're logged in. Anyways, it says that it takes both. So why would you want the mal saves if it considers the spell saves as well?

Ignore Pali. He's a noob.

Because you get more vs mal than you get vs spell?
