Automatic Blur though? I think people are underestimating just how powerful a perk that is.
This I do agree with. An invoker with blur, even with a phys vuln, would be insane.

Very insane.

I don't understand why blur would be automatic and pass door wouldn't?
I see it more as pass door be the racial perk and blur be a mastery.
The con should be WAY lower.
These beings are not very stable in this realm. Their constant phasing in and out of theis existence causes them to have an much lower constitution than any other race in Aabahran.
Con - 13
And their racial perk, would it be a Hidden? Or some special thing no one can see? In fact, I think this race is just too overpowered. Think of Sliths before they were toned down and give them hellstream ![]()
A warrior that gains blur will have 5 defenses. Try hitting that when they are pugilling with a staff - physical weapon or not. Anyone who played 1.0 and faced Cabdren knows what a 5 defense warrior is about.
Not to mention, blur isn't affected by being blinded like other defs - probably why people are saying it would be great for mages....

uber necro, to the rescue!
16 str is too low for Warrior, even with 5 def he will do trash and he will wear not good weapons for sure.Monk with 16 str, too.
it it the same , if you ask me, for rangers..but if you wish to go druid...druid with 24int and wis, 21 dex
Blademaster will do better, but let we see the other stats
24 wis, 24 int, hm now that is more than gnome, 21 dex, much more than gnomes, +blur this makes them a little uber as invokers and definately better choice than gnomes(probably they should be little weakened like 23 int, 24 wis, something like that)
As compared as invokers to faeries, true power of faeries is their mana and flying ability, ok...flying can be sacrificed but if these creatures does not recieves that much mana ...faeries will still be somewhat better choice, if you wish to do more damage, but faeries will have much less defense and surviving abilities. This way you will put offensive class with aditional def. ability, which will be somewhat overpowered.
with phy vuln it can be a good battlemage, me personaly thnks it will be.
necros, hmm, I will still prefer illithids with the shocking ability. Also 25 int, 23 wis is not bad.
The point of the communers is to not have cleric/healer/shaman with both int and wis that high. As a clerics/healers/shamans they will rock...good def from dex, not that bad health + uber int and wis...they will be overpowered communers.
This is what I think for the moment.

That name should be banned from the Forum. I hated getting smacked around by that cheerful, lovable ogre
Oh no you didn't! I thought I would never hear that name again, thanks... As for this race I feel it is another wild idea. I do feel a new race is overdue however this is not the race I forsee. I like the ideas an all, but I dunno.![]()
Should be a neutral-only race or else limited to mage classes (not communers or melees) IMO.
Otherwise, Ethrian clerics and blademasters would own - hell, any melee with an extra defense would be imbalanced.
As far as stats go:
Stats: Str - 16, Int - 23, Wis - 24, Dex - 20, Con - 18
