Good clerics are easy mode for doing that, due to Portal. You should roll a discord drow cleric next.

Lets not forget here that also, when the dmg peaks is when the prayers attempt a malediction from what I've seen.

 

Example being:

 

Your paths/rays are doing MASSACRES through sanc with no firing of the maledictions.

 

All of a sudden you hit a DEMOLISHES and the maledictions fire off.

 

This is based on a conclusion of watching the spells when using them and having them used against me.

IIRC:

If you make the save vs damage you automatically save vs the other effects (path, shrink etc) as well as take half damage.

If you fail the save vs damage you take full damage and then have to roll vs the random effect.  Hence why you see more damage plus the effects.

I suspect wrath/flamestrike for paladins and firestorm for invokers work similarly, though that's purely anecdotal and I'm very open to being shown wrong.

I just find it INCREDIBLY boring to play goodie communers. I played a dwarf justice healer and literally hated my life.
