A bit outdated now, but that same image can be found on this page of the wiki.
WIKI link is in the bar on the top.
I still feel there shouldnt even be a rolling system. With the addition of triggers and rollers, its just the same as always getting the max roll.
So how should the points be distributed then?

I agree. We're looking at an overhaul to character creation in general. That one's on me.
Foxx, you would distribute the points as you would normally when you got a roll. Its the same max roll you can possibly get just without having to actually roll.
I believe what he means is in which ratio would you distribute your points gained? For example when rolling, I leave primarily leave 2 points out of con, possibly 1-2 out of int and up to 3 points out of dex/str. Depending on race/class/max roll.

Interesting to know in what form this would (read: might) take.
Yeah, you would distribute the points how you would normally. That wouldnt change. It would just cut out the literal rolling part. No more rollers/triggers. They defeat the purpose of the roller anyway.

Meh, I actually like rolling.... but if that's the case and the staff thinks that would help, in some way or another, then they should go for it.
Magik, always try to max CON INT and WIS.
These stats will affect the amount of HP and mana you will get at level up.
I understand that meeles think they don't need mana, but many skills use mana.
With DEX and STR as dump stat,
you can get the +4 dex belt from werewolfs
the rope climbing gloves for +2
and the titanium bracers and werewolf teeth earing for STR
even if you dump heavily DEX and need to cover like a 9 points, the max i ever seen
you can just the spider climbing slippers (rare) under emerald/everwild for +3.
With rope gloves, the belt and the slippers you get +9 to dex from easy items.
Of course this come with the price of not wearing the hit/dam gear in those slots and losing +4/+6 hit/damroll.
Mya is so lovely.

For the newbie, Mya speaks words of wisdom (surprise!).
Let us not forget as a freshly created character:
Two rings of life from the cloud man for con. Two keys from the gatekeeper for int (if needed). The Mudschool Diploma for a held +Wis/+Con. Three training sessions from the start to put wherever you wish in addition to the roll you picked up. Not counting the +stat items from the outlaws in Elium. That's not even mentioning that you should be maxing your stats by level 20(ish) if you're just putting pure trains into it and not 'gain convert'ing excess practice sessions after you one-prac your skills/spells. If done right, you can be nearly maxed in your stats shortly after you leave the mud school.
All that other stuff is just gravy.
Like Foxx, I too, like rolling. I use the time waiting for my number to come up to write/finish descriptions and/or cabal applications, touching up RP angles, etc, etc. Allows me to get into the mindset of my character as he's a completely fresh face. As with Foxx again, if the staff feel that the character creation could be better streamlined, then I'm all for it.
Edit: Wow. Just noticed that I double posted. Must have been after my edit and I hit the quote button late. Silly me. If someone wishes to delete that first post, feel free. If you don't, nobody saw anything here. I didn't really double post. You can go about your day now. ![]()
I like rolling too, gives me that nostalgia feeling every time.
Also another tool to keep players from giving up on characters too easy. Anything that makes it harder to train/pin/roll will help prevent rage deletes, or giving up on unfinished characters
. Having said that I'm all for making things easier! ![]()
