mindflayers sound like they'd be beastly with a zerk.
higher dmg output with rage, and take away their defenses and they'd be on the same level as you in that aspect. except less dmg. now... a mino zerk with those and the rod... oh dear lord..

Having looked at the Playerkill to Playerdeath ratio of the person in question, as well as contemplating the positives and negatives of this weapon, I can honestly say that I am not at all convinced that it is overpowered. I am not convinced that it even negatively affects the balancing of that combination. On paper - and thus far - in action, it has not proven itself to be a factor that leads to the consistent and unavoidable defeat of those who run up against it. It is easy to say something looks good, until you yourself attempt it and realize that you are thoroughly mistaken.
Malch I really hate that avatar. And I really hate mindflayers. But I don't think they're super overpowering... anymore. Not out of personal trial of them, but of what I've seen. Also... your avatar. D:

Paladins don't need flail or kick! I wouldn't even practice kick on a Paladin if I had it...

There are maces and swords one can use as an off-hand just fine.
And I would never, ever use kick on a paladin. There is absolutely no point to it.
I think I would fall off my chair laughing if I actually saw somebody use kick in pk. There is no reason to ever use kick (monks/ninjas with double kick aside). There are too many other things that you should be doing with that time.
I think it's one of those skills that would only ever be used once in a blue moon, ie. happen to be fighting to the wire against an awfully wounded foe as a cleric and you have no mana, and kick is all you can do... though even then, you'd maybe want to hold back on using skills to chase if they flee.. and probably ask yourself why you're fighting with no mana as a cleric.
