High High High end equipment

well, I will tell you now that drayson was one of the most powerful DKs in the last several years. He was dual wielding level 10 malforms, and fiend reaver.

so lets do some math here.

Unholy strength 9/9

frenzy m 8/8

malforms MAJOR boost here, cannot really get into specifics, but be SURE that he has more hit/dam with these three things than any warrior has in full mithril necklaces rings bracelets and dual wielding lightning spears.

Couple that with E reaver skills (more space for me not to get into) and you will have an EXTREMELY powerful character. I knew Drayson in his youth, and I will let you know right now he was not the meanest ever then. Once his malforms got powered that is when he became a SERIOUS monster. He put alot of work into Drayson, an extreme amount, He was able to get together a massive suit of rares yes. But I am sure Tassin will tell you he still had to fight characters, he still had to be careful. He could not just steamroll anyone he chose just because of a suit of armor.

I wish I would have copied Maerothirs score sheet. I cannot say what choices I made as a sader, but before I got all crapped out. I cleared -40 saves in spells saves, -20 ish in the rest. WIth 750 armor class and a 50/50 hit dam. I will tell you right now I got beat on in alot of fights, thankfully my running ability has never diminished, as VERY few people where able to land a kill on me. How could i lose like that? because my knowledge of crusaders was NOTHING to what it could have been, because I did not know the class, I was well below par on whyat I could have been.

Mya, that thing you are showing, is an exception.

Do not forget that this was a character with dual full malfoms(?). Not to mention that he is an avian who has access to wands and scrolls. Herbs as well. Also there is a cabal ability that improves one of the bolded stats in the score sheet.

You just cannot use it as an example.

This is what i fear:

You are Drayson, loyal believer in way of Church and powers of Faith.

Class: dark-knight

Fiend of [REAVER]

Hitroll: 63 Damroll: 73.

This is what most of the pbase fears.

Drayson was the most beastly character I can think of. Period. End all.

I can remember some seriously scary DKs

Narnokles and Terniant are two that come to mind right off the bat.

Are we all forgetting Hitnrun's DKN? Demon too.

Ew. Masokant was scary. D:

I never fought masokant, so he does not really invoke fear in my heart.

Narnokles however still scares the hell out of me.

I fought Masokant and Drayson. Drayson was far and away more deadly. I could do nothing, absolutely nothing, against Drayson.

I got away a few times!!

I guess it depends the class you fight them with. Masokant took around half of the deaths on my last character, while I died against Drayson once. For the note I was playing a communer.

Both Drayson and Masokant were around when I played Pamiyn. Drayson VS Pamiyn was usually stalemate (me having to run because of his damage but being unable to keep me from running) wheras Masokant killed me all the time - uber size lag + warlock lag + his particular malform religion doing something that scared the hell out of me and could not be stopped at the time.

I agree with Celerity. The main problem isn't a character that has great saves, hit/dam, ac, hp or whatever. It's when you start factoring in all the exotic equipment that starts tossing out regular 'cure serious' spells in combat, whilst they're keeping hold of multiples of certain items that do unblockable damage and swapping through them constantly for streams of large damage, whilst their other armor pieces are poisoning you and and hurting you - etc. etc.

When someone has one of those fabled 'god suits' giving them great stats across the board alongside all the little extra bonuses like these, it does make a difference.

The problem is, simply reducing the power of EQ willy nilly will affect various classes in different ways.

Dey

dey said willy nilly... hehe

That's a really good point. I fought both on two chars but Drayson's damage output and his weapon effects really screwed the pooch for me. It is certainly a matter of perspective.
