are elves medium sized? figure giants, ogres, minotaurs are all large, elves, drow dwarves, duergars humans feral beast are medium, and gnomes faeries halflings etc are small?
Sizes
correct.
Incorrect.
Consider each one again.
It's not as cut and dry as those "large", "small", "medium".
Dwarves and duergars are smaller than humans, but bigger than halflings and gnomes.
Faeries are smaller than halflings and gnomes.
Ogres/Minotaurs are bigger than humans, but smaller than giants.
I think you can even get to something larger than Giants as well, right? Like by using magical means.
True.
Dwarves and Duergars are the same size as Elves and Humans (try considering same mob with each). Halflings are small as are gnomes, and faeries are tiny.
Ogres, Minotaurs, and the Giants are large.
It's not the size of the pencil that counts, it's how you write your name.
Dey
What if your name is turkey?
Warlock is size = super frickin huge
Turkey.Dey
don't use mobs. they aren't always the race they seem.
No, no. Myrek, I mean considering the same mob with the different races. With one, it'll be the same size, the next, smaller then you, the next, larger then you, and the faeries, much larger then you. That's what I meant
I remember seeing a size list somewhere...
it was...
titan
large
medium
small
tiny

If it's a numbers based system, it's entirely possible that dwarves, while classified in the range of "medium", are at a lower end of the scale than humans.
It's based on rational numbers. Not decimals. So I guess you're wrong there, Evangelion. =)
But if I am wrong, it doesn't really matter in game. A human's bash/bodyslam will last just as long as a dwarf's bash/bodyslam if I'm calculating correctly (minus enlarge via potion/pill/scroll if there's any)
Biggest
Fire Giant
Stone Giant
Ogre
Middle Sized
Human
Drow
Dwarf
Duergar
Avian
Illithid
Slith
Feral
Werebeast
Half-Elf
Small
Halfling
Gnome
Smallest
Faerie
Its not a number system, and that's how they're divided.
yeah, with one more size on top for enlarged giants/mobs
human/dwarf bodyslam isn't the same, but that isn't because of size differences...
Human=dwarf size..no "sub categories" or anything:
Huge - warlock
Large - giant
Medium - dwarf
Small - halfling
Tiny - faerie
Actually guys, it IS a numerical system.
1-5
1 = Tiny
5 = Huge
You can figure out the rest.
No, its not. The spell enlarge bases it on a number system like it does everything, but the sizes are not.
