Have you guys never heard of this? I've been using it for ages.
Couldn't play my cleric without it.

Ok, now I feel like an Old-timer
I've used it for quite some time. As a matter of fact, since I came back I've been using it on all my chars. Very easy to see what is about to drop when a shaman or has you lit up like a christmas tree. Or even useful when on the run or chasing.
I put everything that I would normally cast on myself on it, armor, shield, sanc, class skills/spells. That way, when I have mals or other stuff on me, I know how long the extra stuff will last.
Hmm, a FAQ-type-thing mya?
Basically, you type 'aff "#" "three letter combination to denote it" "spell effect".
Example: Say you are playing a cleric, and so you put in some of your defensive spells:
aff 1 arm armor
aff 2 shi shield
aff 3 pro protection
This would show up as:
- - -
arm shi pro
If you hadn't cast them yet. If you do cast them...
24 24 24
arm shi pro
And when the number gets down to 1 or 0 it turns red. Now obviously, you can change the 3-letter combination, but with a little bit of experimentation, you should figure it out.
Edit: You have to have the fully correct syntax in part of the spell effect. Specifically, a battlemages blades is not 'blades' it is 'control blades' so you should cast the spell, and whatever spell effect shows up on the list in what should be put in.
edit(spelling/grammar)
Never heard of such absurdity.
Newbs! All Of You!
Come on man, don't be so harsh, my meditation of blades is still only 83%...
This has been aroud for at least two years.
Never liked it. Never use it. I hate the 3 letter abbreviation.
I personally would just rather choose the order my affects are listed.
Like the ones you name always appear on top and get colored when they are about to fade. Now that would be cool. ![]()

I see what you are getting at here. But if you play a caster/communer long enough, all you have to do is glance at the list to see which ones are down, because you'll have the order memorized.
And you can choose the order, it's just across, and with abbreviations.
I just count them.
And the order changes as you cast things.
I wrote a script some years ago for my battlemages.
Tater tot? Where the hell ya been?

Sweet! Could I get a copy of that? I'll PM you my e-mail address.
gah I wish I could do this kinda crap. It would make things SO much easier. Heh.
I always colored my affects list and such. I had it in roygbiv so I could easily spot what I was missing. ![]()
So, like, are you back IB4M?
Nah, I'm just floating around. Did have a character at level 13 until I deleted. My internet at my apartment is provided and sucks big time so my ping fluctuates between 1 to 3k normally in WoW. It's pretty bad for the mud as well.
Yay, Im on his task bar! Im one of those msn windows.
hrm, yet again I am shown why I am emp_newb
