And I’m out, Not a great showing from me, but honestly the healer being there really through me off my game. Which is pretty terrible to begin with. Noticed I never even tried to blind him this entire fight which was probably stupid as well.

Making more use of either client side or in game aliases will help with this, too.

I believe that in game aliases can trigger one another, too. [help alias advanced]

If you have it specifically as an alias, it should override it.

The issues with IG aliases is that when you use it long term to target with % for some reason after a while it just stops working and only registers part of it. I do not know exactly when that happens, other than the fact that it does and it is annoying as hell. I would suggest doing so in a client aspect as it will do exactly what you want without it ever failing. For instance if I make an IG alias of b = backstab %, it stops working for me later at some point, but when I enter an alias via my client of b * = backstab %1, it never fails at all.

I have found that those two are almost always next to each other and it is aggravating to no end because on one hand you have a Healer of Purity trying to kill a Vampire, but the other you have a Crusader doing the same thing for different reasons. It was smart of you to run, but don't ever use single initials to attack others. You're only asking for problems by doing so and I've laughed when people have come in to attack me but managed another person instead for the same reasons. It's lazy and stupid on every facet. If you're going to be lazy, just use an alias so that you don't find yourself being stupid. IE: alias j murder % or alias j murder player just as a general statement.

Becoming a wolf in a forest isn't exactly a bad idea, and it gives you a slight edge in certain ways, but it honestly works probably best against a Ranger/Druid considering. Also, apply to not be a smurf. You could definitely use some of the rares when they come into circulation. If he tries to behead you, just run until it wears off, and dual wield whips if you can. He doesn't know them since he was a Paladin before. And stick to fighting him at night so between 19-6 hours so you get the most out of your melee and hopefully it helps. Using the shadow is definitely wise though to go in first. Try to blind him. He wont be able to wear nearly as many rares as most, and depending on the key EQ spots he can't modify, you'll want to look at him to calculate how many he may have to prevent a blind. To be on the safe side, I'd suggest to also add about 10 saves to that as well just to be certain you're able to do it in fewer than 5 attempts.

You weren't using bloodlust. Don't forget you can fill barrels with blood from the vampire guild if the hunger is stopping you from using it.

You used shadowstalk at a pretty bad time, without going into detail.

If you insist on dual wielding a noremove weapon, keep a few sparkling pills in your inventory (ask in game if you don't know how to get them).

You weren't using your weapon-based vamp spell from what i can tell

If you are going to wolf form, use it early and test output...go from there.

Enlarge is the best defense against crusader's rush

Hit and run - Use ticks to your advantage (in all fights).

Abuse magic missile before mals.

Ok thanks for the advise guys, I didnt know you could app for removing smurf, maybe I will look into that in the future. At the moment I need to find a few key upgrades before worrying about rare limit. As for lust Dale you would be correct that was not up, realized that after the fight as well. 

 

For Julsaard I would talk to you more in game about this but we hardly see each other sadly. And I forgot about enlarge might not be a bad idea to go grab some sacks and hope for the best on that. Thanks for all the input guys. I am open to all suggestions. Thanks guys!

Note to self. Check gleaming vials to see if pill retains spell level.

I haven't tried, but I'm willing to say no, probably not.  Simply because the pills are (likely) a separate item entirely from the pill and not dependent on the vial itself for the stats.

Also, unless the prog specifically includes those vials (again, probably not as Lathman's been doing this longer than Fort Blackwatch has been around), you'll just be giving 1000 gold to lathman for him to just stand there.

I hate having a low level sanc from the vials you suggest, it's awful lasts for only a couple of ticks and is dispelled very easily. The higher level vials might be my go to from here out, or a staff as having to re- eat a pill is annoying to say the least.

Get a glim or buy one from a merchant?

Tainted ankhs were my staple source of sanc for my vamp.

I'd recommend looking into some consumables, the scrolls of invulnerability from Val Miran do armor, shield and stone skin so they're quite handy as pre-battle prep. 

As someone else pointed out, you weren't using dark metamorphosis either. You have quite a few options available to you to heal, you can go kill something quickly and drain its corpse etc etc. He was at quite a few wounds, if time was on your side you could of healed up pretty quickly and turned the tables. He wasn't poisoning himself either, sure he has resist to charm but that one time ecstacy lands will change that. If he is running around poisoned, he isn't regening.

Popping a pill takes mere seconds to do in battle.  It's the non-smokers version of smoking dark black leaves and I see them as a top up rather than your staple.  If you need that tick or two extra.  It might be easy to dispel, but they're going to have to sit there and eat more lag than you are.  If they're busy casting dispel magic, then they're not busy casting dispel undead.

Else, Wade's suggestion of the ankh is good, if you want to stock up.

Even as a Smurf I'd recommend having a Glimmering stave as your primary PK sanctuary source - then use pills for in battle replacement, and ankhs for non PK combat.

The extra spell level really makes a difference in PK - and worst case scenario you can just sheath and hold it to log out, or even just drop it.

Its 5,000 Gold.. its far and away the most cost efficient Sanctuary source.

Anks are non rare and can be easily farmed without trouble. Just let the essence follow you to another mob, engage that one with an area attack, aim on the other mob, flee. Now the essence is out of the way and you can farm anks to your heart's content.

A glimmering is still preferable for SOME situations, bc of level and duration of course.

Most people will help you get a glimmering. Its good being on a vamps side. 

You didn't bite/tear at all. Wolf form looked pretty effective to me....

If only I could gain them myself. For some reason that damned thing offers no mercy for me regardless of tactics. Honestly just go with ankhs and gleaming vials though. Gleaming Vials from what I have seen do not evaporate ever, and if they do, it's a long time before they do. Sure it's expensive, but it's like level 40 sanc and lasts long enough you wont regret it if you don't have an ankh. You could possibly even have a DK try to extort it for you so you can have a lot larger yield of possible sources. If you get dispelled in combat eat a sparkling pill  so you get it up without fleeing and it prevents you from needing to flee in the event you're winning.
