Demon DK vs Kaelin Elvin Crusader Tribunal

Demon DK's were both of my crusaders worst enemies.

That probably has to do more with you, than the actual combos.

Crusaders are one of the biggest banes of DKs.

They are actually the biggest banes of anything that can be lagged, since they have one of the highest damage potential of all melees, the highest defence potential, and one of the most reliable lag skills.

If you can't outdamage a crusader and you play a class that can be lagged, it's GG for you.

Which is why some people prefer playing mages. With a mage, you can always resort to tactics. With a melee, if you are not the biggest fish in the ocean, it's gonna suck pretty hard for you when facing other melees.

So if I want to know what changes have been done to behead I either have to dump 100+ hours or resort to OOC circles? Neat. Not backwards at all.

Again.

There was a bug fix.

I do not post bug fixes for all of the playerbase to see unless it affects the entirety of the playerbase. (ESPECIALLY if it involves a qrace or qclass).

Stop complaining people. This is stupid.

@ Demon DK

You are playing your DK like it was a warrior. DK's aren't warriors.

Read the second essay in here:

Once you realize you aren't a warrior, you should prioratize your defense so you can cast more spells. Sure he doesn't knows whips, but you are throwing one of your defences out the window when he can already smash the other two.

Just wield a cursed polearm. You probably malformed a carpter hammer. I would use it. Even if your whip is hiting the double of times, your polearm will do the double of the damage and defend a lot better.

Next look at him and check his saves. You can use fireball to check saves. Crap fireball damage == high AFF saves.

Your best AFF spell is Iceball.

Get a decent pet:

You can get the Warlock to auto-lag him so you can cast and prevent him from fleeing.

You can get a caster pet to cast spells, like the Mistress of Magic or Torilar.

You can get a dirt + damage pet like the dwarf dude, crab or lion pride, but you can't really cound on pet damage vs a crusader.

Enlarge yourself.

Read the essay at the top.

On Behead/Decapitate thorycrafting.  I know not what it does. I always tought it was a Cleave Mk.II . A high damage opener that probably can't be used in combat or blind. So if it gives you to much trouble, try dirt kicking him. Like mino charge, that lion pride auto-dirt can save you a lot of pain when you flee. I have no idea why you weren't shield blocking and I find it very strange, but I think it has nothing to do with Behead.

If you look at your second behead, you aren't also parrying. Most likely he is full on hitroll + offensive bonus. So polearm or if you insist in whip, dual wield them. Because if you can't defend there is no point in not using the most offensive weapon on each hand.

PS: there is a magic cursed whip in the bathhouse.

I read the first one and didn't even honestly notice the second one. I just figured I'd roll with the punches on it. Charmies are my weak spot majorly. I do have a carpenter's hammer, but 0 kills  means that it sucks ass. Whips are more of the way to go in this case since as long as I'm not being messed up with the other affects of Behead, at least I'll still have an offensive front. I do know of the whip you're speaking of, it may be a good primary in this case and I can throw in another decent whip in my offhand. First couple bouts I was dual wielding, and another bout where I used a shield, I did block pretty much everything with the exception of a few minor hits. That last one though I was just destroyed and I don't think my ass will ever be the same.

Playing a hybrid class like DK has always been pretty foreign to me once I hit level 40 or so. I typically dislike them and playing melee's for the most part I forget about the spells part of the class so I'll have to start thinking more about them. His hit/dam seem pretty average from what I can tell just looking at him, but I'm not sure about how it works since I've never fought one prior to this and I've never played one either. Maybe my next character should be one so I can study them more in depth for weaknesses. I'll start looking more into the second essay I hadn't noticed though and see what all I can apply towards my next encounter. Thank you for the advice.

The whipping tail of the manticore is another very good whip that I believe is no disarm. Always seems to be in when I check.

Looking for a cursed whip, explore under the sea.

You should have embedded a Little Mermaid clip as a hint. Yes, I have a 5yo daughter.

It's so catchy.

This fall on netflix.

The little mermaid meets the sanguin lord, in an original story from Faulch Wordsmith presented by Stephen Spielberg.
