The Priest's Tent

  As the tent's flap is pulled aside and you enter, the distinct stench of

illness assails you.  The expansive interior of the tent houses several

soldiers of the crown in various states of discomfiture.  The scores of

young men offering comfort in the way of healing appear to have things well

organized; The more serious injuries are placed near the tent's entrance for

quick investigation, and quick removal should the healers fail.  The less

life-threatening cases are hustled toward the back, where they patiently

wait.  The steady and rythmic dance of patient and doctor is watched over by

a single man, who stands in a contemplative silence amidst the pain that

surrounds him.

  An enormous heap of broken partly fire-blackened, partly still glistering

stone rises before you.  The famous starstone walls of the castle have

collapsed and though the resulting debris and rubble have been cleared away,

it is very obvious that the Castle is still severely damaged.

Moral of the story here folks? I don't think Raynald hits hard enough. Nope, not quite there yet.

There are a number of issues with how murder rounds work atm i think - not sure what the staff perspective is on that - but they seem to easy to pull off, for how powerful they are for melees.

This has nothing to do with murder rounds. It has all to do with being cast on, pulling a murder round.

There is that, and the double round auto assist guarantees pets.

Both things seem odd to me.

Looked painful.  Thats all I know.

I think it's something related to preventing people with pets from fleeing and returning and engaging with a non area spell.

Notning like failing a sleep as an Illithid and watching half your hp disappear.

Looking at the Log.  This really turned the tide of the fight.  Looks like the Invoker was trying to be aggressive which it needed to be.  Then just got a shitty deal.

Was way too early in the fight for the invoker to get aggressive.   Stick with the patience game.  Let him hit your firestorm.   I personally would have just spammed lightning.  Get him low then chase with hell streams or get him low then dispel.  Let him lag himself in combat then hit with the dispel.   Never chase a sader when your hp is near his.  Rush hurts

Rush? He's an invoker....

That being said, read chesta's advise carefully. There are many words of wisdom in it.

I meant the sader rushing him hurts.   Lag to an invoker is pew pew

You guys crack me up sometimes.

This was a win for the invoker until he made a mistake. Thats all it takes. 1 mistake and the tables turn ridiculously. 

Similarly if the crusader had fled, failed using his glimmering etc the invoker would of had him. 

Mistakes costs lives. Regardless of Raynald's damage output the invoker was winning until that mistake.

I don't consider the fact that melees get a "free" murder round when they get hit with a mental or mal spell. I consider it a bug.

Interesting. I didn't notice that round just for casting a spell. Perhaps that's something to be looked at?

And just for the edification of others. Most Crusaders don't have dual wield (if they have some form of it then they'd have to give up something else). Therefore if certain paths are expected to compete with the heavy melees of other classes they need to be able to exact greater damage but across fewer strikes.

For example in my battles against Leothyre and Ashuga. Leothyre landed much heavier strikes, which to most of you would probably consider that overpowered. Yet his strikes were much fewer than Ashuga's. In the end they probably both dealt equal amounts of damage to me.
