Such a log will only really be informative if you also post your eq, affects and score sheet. Please add those in.

Yea Eq and score sheet would help, not to mention he's going to out melee you, I saw him stack fury twice, im not sure if your cast after he got the fury was an already entered command or not but you should have fled as soon as the first landed, dance around, not just in 2-3 rooms near your cabal, cast a spell and flee cast a few cures and re-engage. Getting T will help, and I didn't see any steel shards damage  did you have that up? Ive never played the fireshield cleric build so i'm not sure if they can be up together, but I figured they could be. Just some small stuff I noticed.

Steel shards and fire shield can not be up together.  OP

If i cant stay in combat for 4 rounds, then running around healing is not gonna be good.  Also furried.  When I did flee I got a heal in 1 in four attempts.  I did not flee to heal.  I fled to not fight.  No point.  As well a NINJA has cure light/acupuncture.  I have over 50 fights agains feral ninjas/Thiefs.  You wont out attrition a ninja and if you do WAIT.....There is HIDE.

Ok so faerie fire/fog, you still have those, and again temp storm will help. and doesn't Ninja lose cure light when they go gladiator? cause he's a gladiator. so you just have to deal with acupuncture which has negative effects depending on his path, and if you can't attrition as a cleric you're A doing it wrong, B shouldn't be playing a cleric. they are the ULTIMATE attrition class. I can think of several cleric fireshield savants fromt he past that have absolutely murdered everything and they dealt with ferals of all classes as well. It can be done but you have to be willing to change things and I can see from all the posts that honestly you're not you'd rather cry feral OP. Path then flee, heal up, path then flee heal up, don't stay in combat more than one round. if you've got yourself prepared with consumables etc as well (as much as it pains me to use that word) and are willing to attempt to dictate the fight terms it can go your way.

Genpei played this one pretty bad tbh.

Use protection from evil next time.

Other than that, I am not sure what this log is supposed to show us. Losing 150hp, as a cleric, against a decked melee is not something unprecedented or unheard of. My ogre ranger lost 1200hp in one round against a necromancer.

I was asked to submit logs.  Thats what I did.  I dont really care TBH.

If that is your ac then I have a major issue.

How come -550 to -600 isn't enough to counter those furies.  He shouldn't be landing them so consistently.  This has been my personal beef with the skill.  My casters ride the ceiling on ac.  Yet I get furied all the time.  Yes he eats 2 rounds of lag, but his dps is automatic.

To win the fight he just needs to spam one skill.  Of the cleric stays he dies.  Winning doesn't mean killing btw.  The caster has to withdraw or die.  Their dps is cut drastically.  

The dichotomy between caster and melee skills really establishes the lines in this debate for me.  So feral has a skill that disrupts casting.  It lands very often even on high ac targets.  It disrupts the victims entire spell kit.  Where is the counter? 

I personally think fury should be opener only.  At least then the caster can get off spells without losing casting proficency. 

 

@f0xx, protection evil/good isn't available very readily to glad.  They have to get equipment that grants it.

I am not sure what that's supposed to mean? All Izzy has to do is summon the holy draconian and kill it. This can be done done within one tick and requires literally zero effort.

As for the cleric's itemisation, there's a lot that can be improved.

Where is the counter? The horrible HP base and probably the worst vuln in the game.

so.... it still did good damage over the course of what little this log shows.

Yeah, I guess I expected it to do better every round considering it's a vuln. It is a short log I was just surprised to see a wound twice haha.

The feral on the other hand sucked ~180 passive damage without the cleric inputting a single damage spell.

Ok but you're posting a log about ferals/fury being OP but in that log there is 5 rounds not counting the where he's fighting the alter, and your math is an exaggeration of the damage, it equated I did the math and foxx was right you were at 910 when you engaged the end of the log youre at 462, ends up being 89.6 damage a round, thats not exactly insane, and is very  manageable with proper attrition even through fury, you spammed a command took a 2nd stack of fury, so while you were asked to post logs this log doesn't exactly speak to the point you're trying to prove. I've found fury super annoying but its never caused my death unless I've overstayed, fire shield coupled with a fire weapon perhaps one he's not exactly familiar with, staff being defensive but not exactly great since he knows it as well would serve you better.

Sorry Foxx looks like you were right.  I am of a different opinion when it comes to how much damage I am taking.

 

Ninja's are a Rouge class.  Not a str8 out melle class.  They are not warriors.  Yet can hit me Harder then warriors and have so much more in the tool belt.  Blind strangle poison.  Push, grapple, UNAVOIDABLE DAMAGE.  Hide.  

 

Am I the only one who thinks its insane that one class has so many tools?
