Im curious why we do this, it only elevates vets, and lowers new players. Years ago it added a level of mystique, and awe to the game, now I see it as adding more frustration.
Im not saying hand out a pamphlet on the quest answers/completion requirements, nor am I saying breakdown exactly how a class functions 100%, but I have had several people message me over the years asking questions about various qraces (mostly sader, and psis) and as a player I WANT to help them, I want to tell them everything I know so they can hopefully do something amazing that I never would have thought of, but they spend their entire chars life trying to grasp the basic fundamentals of the class cause they did not know the basics to start off with, giving them very little opportuniy to expand their tactics, since they spent 25-30 lives getting down the basics.
So why not let those people who have never played a class have some basic knowledge of how the class operates. It is not going to unbalance anything, since they will still have to play the class to transfer theoretical knowledge to practical knowledge. I believe if people had access to the overview of a class it would cause them to build that char in their mind, leading to a larger expanse of RP oriented characters from players attempting their first run at a qclass (Remember when liches came out, we had a surplus of well RPed evils who had depth, and feeling to their character, not just butchers of evil)
