Well, a lot of this uber suit stuff, it seems to me, is a result of people getting things that aren't readily available for their class.... or even meant for their class. Ninja's getting haste... sure, there are all of what? Two sources for it? Three max? But if you're a ninja worth your salt (any ninja played by anyone that's been here a year or longer) you only attempt assassinate while hasted.... lest being called an idiot in the logs for even trying something while not having the top teir gear and the best available chance... and if you succed with such, you're a 'lucky' player who 'needs to learn not to take chances.'
Warrior who wants to kill someone? Hit them with afflication damage (as mya claims).
Want to hide, Shadowform, as mya said. I didn't know DK's could do that... which leads me to assume anyone can get a consumable that allows such.
Maybe consumables shouldn't be rare if they're amazing... maybe they shouldn't be at all? "but then how will this balance ." Well... it may have 'balanced' one class... but if a class isn't balanced upon start up, then it's a broken system to assume they need "this potion" or "this mask" to be compete against a class that requires nothing but a sanc potion to contend. Basically, I'm saying classes are fine- the gear isn't. Staff has said they're doing an equipment rebalance.. I'll wait to see what happens after that. But I don't think classes should have such easy access to the crap that elivates them past where they should be (barring a 1 in 50 chance or so... sometimes a super sword of smitery is just what the story calls for... but not every story. When did that human dude in teh lord of the rings get that super groovey sword? At the end? He didn't have the super sword of orc slayage all the way through the thing.)
Another way to take care of the equip issues... make items class only... it's readily explained through RP side (The creator of their potion has restricted Ninja's from imbibing it's hastifying attributes, go bother a battlemage/The gods frown upon one of your profession using this paltry sword of asswhoopery, you should have taken the profession of a Paladin if you figured you'd need a boost this big!/You're a vampire, Mya says you're overpowered enough as it is, you get to fight naked.)
How does that help full looting? Well, only people who won't "unbalance" the game when using the gear will have it. Ta-da.
Let's worry about the real issues now? I've been rolling a werebeast for two days... nothing acceptable yet. If I can't get max by 30 I'm not playing- and I'm not going to go adventurer anymore just to have 'decent' hp and mana by today's standards.

*every term of balance/unbalance is not my view. mostly.
