Nerve needs no upping.
It's a skill, there is no save. Land it 80% of the time.
That is why Weaken takes away more strengh. Because it can be saved.
Caltraps is also fine.
Ninjas are stealthy characters. You are supposed to get them before they put flight up.
I do agree that Staves give a to easy acess to flight to some classes like Rangers,Ninjas, Monks and others with staves skill.

Hmm perhaps never could have a greater affect on str but not an immediate affect. Lets say every hour the str loss accumulates to a greater but predetermined cap.
